ARTconnects workshops kickstarted community co creation in 2017 led by Salma Zulfiqar BEM, British Artist/Filmmaker.  ARTconnects delivers holistic creative learning workshops with mentoring for youth in schools, universities, arts and social organisations and for corporate clients. The workshops equip participants with creative skills and knowledge on climate solidarity, gender equality, social issues and help improve mental wellbeing.

Workshops and exhibitions have been held across the UK, Europe, USA and the Middle East. Artworks and films include The Solidarity Project, Climate Solidarity, Flower Power, The Biodiversity Blanket,  The MB, A Welcoming Hand, A Displaced Journey, We Are Searching for Life, Lay Down Your Knives, Girl Power, Routes to Peace, The Peace Banner among others.

In 2023, Salma Zulfiqar was appointed the British Empire Medal for services to the Arts and Education in King Charles III Birthday Honours. In 2022 Salma Zulfiqar was presented with the U.K. Prime Minister’s prestigious Points of Lights Award in recognition of her exceptional service Salma Zulfiqar was also voted one of the most influential women from the UK and received the national Rising Star Diversity Award powered by The Sunday Times in 2019. ARTconnects projects receive support from an Advisory Panel consisting of experts in community projects, development and humanitarian issues, human rights, education, media and cohesion.
